Following a lawsuit in which a lawyer is asking for the city to wait until the state decides on its legislation, and a doctor is asking for clarification of the new Portsmouth rule, should the city hold off on its ordinance to regulate pain clinics to avoid a potentially costly legal battle?

Holding off on voting never stopped the recall of mayors in the past. This issue far exceeds anything that a mayor was or was not doing. Show an example to the community that the city means business when it comes to illegal activity. Its not uncommon for laws to be placed on the books in towns that even go above and beyond something that the state makes illegal. It shows some real character.
