A West Portsmouth man has been indicted on 12 counts dealing with illegal trafficking in drugs, while a West Portsmouth woman faces 11 similar charges.

Scioto County Prosecutor Mark Kuhn said the Scioto County Grand Jury has indicted Loren Munion, Jr. 51, and Ashley R. Munion, 21, both of 1433 15th St., West Portsmouth, on four counts each of trafficking in drugs in the vicinity of a school; one count each of trafficking in drugs in the vicinity of a juvenile, each with a firearm specification; five counts each of possession of drugs; and one count each of having a weapon while under disability with a forfeiture specification. Loren Munion faces an additional charge of funding of drugs or marijuana trafficking.

According to Scioto County Sheriff Marty V. Donini, detectives and probation officers executed a narcotics-related search warrant at that residence in February.

Detectives said they searched the residence and property at 1433 15th St., and seized about 41 oxycodone 30 milligram pills, five Xanax pills, several firearms, and more than $1,000 in cash.

"Their" drug abuse is a symptom of their morality or lack there of...don't use unemployment as an excuse. There r many poor people who live a moral life and don't deal drugs. Drug dealers r murders in disguise. People need consequences for their actions. Do the crime...do the time. No more excuses!

Our drug abuse is a symptom of unemployment. Any gains made have been negated bu Kasich's myopic plan to make smaller government. Sad. I hope he stops operating Ohio like he did Lehman Bros. Maybe we can convert the facility to house former Lehman Brothers employees.
