Deborah “Deb” Jerrell, 62, of Anna, Ill., a former resident of South Shore, Ky., died Friday, March 18, 2011 at her residence. She was born Aug. 6, 1948 in Portsmouth, Ohio, the daughter of the late Robert and Wanda Hunt Crawford.

Deb is survived by her husband, Dennis Jerrell of Anna;, a daughter, Valerie Jerrell of Cobden; a son, Eric Jerrell of Anna; and an aunt, Greta Stanton of Orange Park, Fla.

Also surviving are Kent, Renee, Mahala, Leslie and Mary Jo, all cousins who were raised like brothers and sisters, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Richard and Mae Elizabeth Hunt, who raised her as a daughter, and a cousin, Dwight.

Deb was a 1966 graduate of McKell High School in South Shore, Ky. She was a licensed cosmetologist, worked as a referring gravel agent, and was a mental health technician III at Choate Mental Health and Development Center in Anna. She loved traveling and going on cruises with her husband, Dennis.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 25, 2011 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Ky., with Pastor Dave DeVoll officiating. Burial will be in Siloam Cemetery in South Shore, Ky.

Friends may call at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Ky, from 6-8 p.m. Thursday March 24, 2011 and from 8 a.m. until the funeral hour on Friday.
