Joanna Yates, 71, of Ironton, died Thursday, February 24, 2011 at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.

Born November 14, 1939 in Lawrence County, a daughter of the late Lewis and Olive Collins Justice, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by four sons, Johnny (Lu) Justice, Charles Edward (Tessa) Blankenship Jr., Carl (Phyllis) Blankenship, Billy Blankenship; one daughter, Cheryl (Jessie) Berry; thirteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jessie Robert Justice and Carl Justice.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Blankenship and Ronnie Yates; three brothers, Bill Justice, Donnie Justice, Lewis Justice and two sisters, Betty Russell and June McKnight.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 28, 2011 at Hanging Rock Cemetery with Richard Morrison officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg.
