Brenda Joyce Burton, 68, of Portsmouth, Ohio, a former resident of South Shore, Ky. died Monday, Jan. 17, 2011, in Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.

She was born in Greenup County, Ky., June 24, 1942, a daughter of the late Walter Hardin and Eva McDowell Hardin Duncan.

She was a homemaker, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and sister.

Surviving are two daughters, Tammy (Bryan) Moore of Lucasville, Ohio and Linda (Richard) Plashek of Michigan; one brother, James Hardin of Portsmouth, Ohio; one sister, Sandy Duncan of South Shore, Ky.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Ky., with Rev. Norman Potter officiating.

Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, South Shore, Ky. Friends may call at the Roberson Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour on Saturday.
