Betty J. Morrow, 78 of West Portsmouth, passed away Tuesday January 18, 2011, at SOMC Hospice. Betty was born October 30, 1932, in Portsmouth to the late Hiram F. and Dorothy Mae McGlothlin Kuhn. She was married February 9, 1952, to Paul Edward Morrow, who preceded her in death no January 4, 2003. Also preceding her in death was an infant daughter Connie Sue and a brother Karl F. Kuhn.

Betty was a 53-year member of Carey’s Run Church of Christ, serving as a member of both the choir and ladies’ fellowship group. She also served along with her husband as a youth leader and a Sunday School teacher for many years. She was employed by Williams Manufacturing Company before coming a full-time housewife and mother.

Betty is survived by 2 sons; Larry (Cindy) Morrow of West Portsmouth and Timothy (Mima) Morrow of Charleston, West Virginia, a daughter Linda (Frederick) Schaffer of Culleoka, TN, grandchildren; Jamie Kingrey, Christina Kingrey, Eric (Johanna) Morrow and Sara (Adam) Monroe, great grandchildren; Dayton, Kelley and Madilyn Monroe, and a special niece Deborah (Larry) Boggs of Jackson, OH.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, January 21, 2011, at Carey’s Run Church of Christ with Larry Boggs officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home, West Portsmouth from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
