With bragging rights on the line, Piketon and Eastern advanced to the finals of the Pike County Holiday Classic at Waverly.

Piketon advanced with a 51-24 victory against Western.

Alex Southworth scored 15 points and Tori Pelphrey scored 13 points in the the win. Elisha Manley added 13 rebounds for Piketon.

Western was led by Kelcie Hawk with 10 points.

Last year Piketon reached the finals of the Holiday Classic but fell to Waverly.

While the Lady Streaks have a chance to claim the title, they won't be getting revenge on the Lady Tigers.

In the second contest of the game Eastern defeated Waverly 48-37.

Courtney Rowe scored 22 points and Rachel Staker added 14 for the Lady Eagles as Eastern pulled away for a win with a strong fourth quarter.

Hannah Brewster led Waverly with 17 points.

Western and Waverly will play the consolation round at 6 p.m. today and Piketon and Eastern will play for the title following that contest.
