Scioto County Sheriff Marty V. Donini said the teen has been arrested and charged with rape. Donini said the Scioto County Sheriff's Office received a report Wednesday that three juvenile males, ages 3, 5 and 10 had been raped while they were visiting at a Wheelersburg residence.
"It was reported today (Wednesday)," Scioto County Sheriff's Detective Jodi Conkel said. "They reported it to (Scioto County) Children Services this morning, Children Services called me, and the minute I got off the phone I immediately, because of the age, got him picked up and got it going."
Donini said detectives began an investigation which included several interviews which ended with locating the suspect at his Wheelersburg home and bringing him in for questioning.
Donini said the 16-year-old male has been charged with three counts of rape -- a felony of the first degree, and is being held in the Scioto County Juvenile Detention Center, and will appear in juvenile court at a later date.
Donini credited the joint effort of the Scioto County Sheriff's Office detectives, Children Services and Scioto County Juvenile Court that resulted in the quick arrest.
