With Halloween just days away, PayPal and the WeenDream Project have partnered to provide costumes to children in need. Through the PayPal Giving Fund, the WeenDream Project collects and donates (both new and gently used) costumes to families, schools and groups across America.

Costumes can be donated at WeenDream Project’s Portsmouth center located at Evangelical United Church of Christ, 701 Fifth Street in Portsmouth, with monetary donations for costumes available through the PayPal Giving Fund.

“They accept donations of new costumes as well as used costumes,” Andre Smith of the WeenDream Project said. “And if you’re unable to stop by the center to make a donation you can also make a monetary donation for costumes via the PayPal Giving Fund and the money goes straight to the WeenDream for the purchase of costumes for children.”

Smith said the costumes go to children around the Portsmouth area, but also, because they partner with PayPal, people are able to make donations from all across America.

“They are able to distribute costumes to the other locations that they have centers in across America,” Smith said. “Also it goes towards the non-profit itself towards the purchase of costumes for children.”
