The Coal Grove Lady Hornets were just too much for the Portsmouth Lady Trojans, as Portsmouth fell to Coal Grove, 64-33, Thursday night at Coal Grove High School.
The Lady Hornets were led by Kaylee Beals, who scored 21 points for Coal Grove in their win over Portsmouth.
Emily Compliment racked up 13 points for the Lady Hornets, earning second highest scoring honors for the team Thursday night.
In the loss, Portsmouth was led by Jasmine Eley, who scored 12 points in the game. Eley scored 11 of those 12 points in the first half.
Up next for the Lady Trojans will be Chesapeake on Thursday evening at Chesapeake High School. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.
