Roadblock stops Clay

The Clay Lady Panthers hit a road block Saturday when they played Huntington Ross on the road. Despite leading at halftime, 25-20, the Lady Panthers were unable to maintain their lead, losing to the hosts 47-38.

Scott Cayton’s Lady Panthers had a good showing by Cameron Delotell and Jensen Warnock. The duo each scored a team high 16 points in the loss to Huntington Ross.

Warnock had eight rebounds and four assists in the game, while Delotell added five rebounds and a steal.

The Lady Panthers will try to recover from Saturday’s loss at Huntington Ross by hosting the East Lady Tartans on Monday evening, and then traveling to Franklin Furnace to face the Green Lady Bobcats on Thursday. Each game has a scheduled 6 p.m. tipoff.
