Panthers stop Vikings, 61-49

The Clay Panthers defeated the Symmes Valley Vikings Friday night at Symmes Valley High School, in an SOC I matchup. The Panthers won 61-49.

Clay was led by Brody Riffe in scoring, with 19 points. Just behind Riffe was forward Cole Gilliland, who scored 17 points for the Panthers.

In the loss, the Vikings were led by Belville in points, with 16. Sheppard finished the night with 15 points for Symmes Valley.

The Panthers were able to maintain a win over the Vikings, even though they were limited to only two points in the third quarter. Symmes Valley had their biggest offensive production in the third, scoring 18 points.

Next up for the Vikings will be a home game against the Oak Hill Oaks on Tuesday. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:15 p.m.

The Clay Panthers will faceoff against the Eastern Eagles, at home, on Friday evening. Tipoff for that game is set for 6 p.m.
