Oak Hill edges Rock Hill, Green falls

The Oak Hill Oaks, behind a stout rushing performance that ended up collecting 296 yards on the ground, were able to take home a 20-13 victory over the Rock Hill Redmen on Tuesday to move to 2-1 overall on the year.

Oak Hill, who collected its 296 yards on just 40 carries for an average of 7.4 yards per attempt, was led by Walker Smith, who rushed for an outstanding 135 yards and a touchdown on just nine carries for a 15 yard average. Bayley Clutters, who ran for 97 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries (6.9 per rush) and Zach Fisher, who collected 69 yards on 15 totes for a 4.6 mark, were able to lead the Oaks to the victory.

Oak Hill will host Symmes Valley on Friday evening to commence SOC I play.

Reedsville Eastern 41, Green 0

After collecting its first victory of the year over Hannan (W. Va.), the Green Bobcats weren’t able to establish much traction on Friday evening as the Bobcats fell to Reedsville Eastern, 41-0, on Friday evening.

Green was held to seven yards rushing on 24 carries in the contest. The Bobcats, who collected four first downs on the evening, accumulated 13 passing yards from Wyatt Mollett on a completion.

After two straight home affairs, Green will make the trip to East on Friday evening to play the Tartans as SOC I play commences next week.
