The Notre Dame volleyball team (1-0) picked up its first win of the season on Monday, sweeping St. Joseph 25-11, 25-3, 25-14 in Ironton.

Titan sophomore Lexi Smith led the way for Notre Dame offensively, picking up 12 kills throughout the match. Ragen Kayser added nine kills of her own for the Titans.

Both Smith and Kayser were set up throughout the night by junior Hagen Schaefer, who paced the Titan offense with 19 assists.

Ali Smith powered the Titans from behind the service line, recording 28 points — 13 of which were aces.

The Titans take the court again on Wednesday, when they trek across the river to take on Greenup Co. (Ky.). First serve is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
