Men’s Basketball hit the road to face (RV) Lindsey Wilson

SSU Bears play Lindsey Wilson.


Shawnee State men’s basketball begin their final regular season road trip on Thursday night when they play at (RV) Lindsey Wilson.

The Bears are 8-17 and are 1-11 in the Mid-South Conference. Shawnee State suffered an 87-69 defeat to Campbellsville on Thursday, February 16th.

Lindsey Wilson are 18-10, and are 5-7 in the Mid-South. The Blue Raiders fell to #14 Pikeville 71-59 on Saturday, February 18th.

Jayllen Carter continues to lead Shawnee State in scoring as the Portsmouth native is averaging 15.2 points per game. Frederick Moore is scoring 14.2 points per game and is leading the Bears in rebounding at 7.5 per game.

Charles Sutton leads Lindsey Wilson in scoring, averaging 16.2 points per game.

Shawnee State are 5-11 in the all-time series against Lindsey Wilson. The Bears fell to the Blue Raiders 80-70 on January 21st.

Shawnee State are now locked into the #8 seed in the Mid-South Conference Tournament to be played next weekend. The Bears will take on (RV) Life in the first round of the tournament as the Running Eagles have clinched the #1 overall seed and a share of the MSC regular season championship.

Tipoff between the Bears and Blue Raiders is scheduled for 9:00pm Eastern.
