Spring is on the way and that means its time for Baseball! The Challenger Baseball League enables boys and girls ages 4 to 18, or up to age 22 if still enrolled in school, with developmental or physical disabilities to enjoy the great American game of baseball in a non-competitive setting.

*Strengthening of players self-esteem
*Disciplines of teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play
Challenger Division participants have the opportunity to experience:
*The joys of pulling together as a team
*Being cheered on
*Earning awards for their achievement
In a Challenger game, each player gets the chance to bat, run the bases, and to play the field. Players are encouraged to particiapate in as much of the game as they can, they can also be teamed up with a “buddy” who will lend a helping hand. Buddies are asked to let the player do all they can themselves, but to be nearby to help when needed.
Challenger games are played at the Gene Bennett Baseball Fields in Wheelersburg. Players that participate in the Challenger League come from all over Scioto County, even as far away as South Point and Greenup KY. If you would like more information about Challenger Baseball, contact:
