Chesapeake and Boyd Co. had a tough battle Monday night, a battle that took the two teams fighting it out into overtime. Ultimately, Chesapeake lost to Boyd Co. with a final score of 61-64.
Boyd Co.’s Hunter Kenson was a MVP on the court, scoring a impressive 40 points and leading all scorers. This power shooter made 17 field goals and six of eight free throws.
Leading for the ‘Peake was Cole Mills and Casey McComas, who both scored 18 points. Mills made one-two pointers, five shots from behind the arc and one of one free throw. McComas made two-two pointers, three-three pointers and five of six free throws.
The win was a big victory for Boyd Co. as they head into tournaments.
