The New Boston Lady Tigers beat Symmes Valley in the final seconds of a game Monday night that had both teams fighting hard.

Symmes Valley started the game with the advantage; however, New Boston caught up in the second quarter. The team continued to battle until the final seconds, tying with 45 each and only three minutes in the final period. In the very last seconds, New Boston made an impressive run for the win, scoring two points and then adding another two free throws and taking the game.

Leading for New Boston was three powerhouse players — Kaylee Stone, Sami Oiler and Ali Hamilton. Oiler led the Tigers with 15 points from five big three pointers. Stone made five-twos, one-three and one of two free throws for 14 points, and Hamilton shot for two-twos, one-three and four of eight free throws for 11 points.

Leading all scorers was Symmes Valley’s Jensyn Shepherd with 18 points. Shepherd made seven-two point baskets and four of five free throws and was supported by Payton Walsh, who added 15 points from three-twos and three-threes.
