The Portsmouth Trojans had two big wins over the weekend, beating Dawson-Bryant 54-36 on Friday followed by a 59-36 victory over Chesapeake on Saturday.
Trojan Daniel Jordan led all scorers with 18 points as the Trojans beat the Dawson-Bryant Hornets on Friday.
Jordan’s points came on eight field goals and two of two free throws during the game. Portsmouth also got 11 points from Mike Malone and 10 points from Kendal Reynolds.
The Hornets were led by Cory Borders’ 13 points. Mark Sites added nine.
For a back to back victory, the Trojans went on the road against Chesapeake Saturday when Trojan Mike Malone led all scorers with 15 points as Portsmouth beat Chesapeake.
Malone’s points came on five-three pointers during the game. Portsmouth also got 13 points from Daniel Jordan and 10 points from Gabe Gambill.
Chesapeake was led by Cole Mills’ 11 points and Casey McComas added nine.
The Trojans have improved to a record of 10-4.
Portsmouth will travel to South Point on Tuesday.
