It was a rough Monday for the Panthers after South Point Pointers girls basketball team beat the Chesapeake 56-52 Monday night.
The two teams fought it out in a close game that had both teams battling for the net.
South Point was led by Brooklyn Badgett with 16 points from five-two pointers and six of nine successful free throws. Badgett also had four rebounds and two assists. Supporting Badgett was Emilee Whitt with 15 points. Whitt scored four big three point baskets as well as one two pointer, three rebounds and two assists.
Chesapeake’s Natalee Hall led all scorers with 19 points. Hall scored big in the third quarter with a total of five-two point field goals, two-three point field goals and three of three free throws.
South Point has another conference game Monday at Fairland.
