Tigers ride out close game against Symmes Valley

The rainy weather didn’t put a dampter on New Boston’s game against Symmes Valley Saturday afternoon. Both teams played hard in a high scoring game that ended with the New Boston Tigers beating Symmes Valley 53-49.

Jarod Sheppard came out for Symmes Valley, scoring 14 points during the game. The team’s second top scoring was Laykin Gothard with 12 points.

Leading for the Tigers (4-5, 2-3) was Tyler Caldwell, who scored 20 points. Caldwell was supported by Kade Conley with 17 points.

Symmes Valley will have a chance to improve their record Tuesday when they face Clay on their home court. New Boston will go on to meet the Eastern Eagles on the road.
