Jaycees Christmas Parade set

By Wayne Allentallen@civitasmedia.comThe Portsmouth Area Jaycees are making preparations for the 76th annual Jaycees Christmas Parade, set for Thursday, Nov. 20.“The lineup (for the parade) will begin at 5 p.m. with the parade starting at 6 p.m. The route will start from Portsmouth High School and will finish at Market Street,” said Curtis DePuy, Jaycees spokesman.Santa will be on Market Street to meet with area kids. The route of the parade includes traveling west on Gallia Street, across Chillicothe Street to the Valley Wholesale Food Parking lot. DePuy said said people are encouraged to line the parade route to watch.
