Policy on engagement, wedding and anniversary announcement submissions:

The Portsmouth Daily Times publishes announcements of engagements, weddings and anniversaries in its Sunday edition. Announcements of anniversaries of 20, 25, 30 etc. will be accepted. Wedding announcements will be accepted up to and not past six months after the ceremony.

Forms detailing the information necessary to be submitted are available on this Web site or in hard copy form at the information desk in the newsroom, located on the second floor of the office of the paper, 637 Sixth St. Submitted information must include a telephone number for verification.

Pictures may include the celebrating couple only. Family, friends, members of the wedding party, etc., will be excluded. Pictures may be color or black and white and will be returned if a self-addressed, self-stamped envelope is submitted with the picture. Pictures not accompanied by an envelope will be held in the newsroom for three months and may be picked up during normal business hours.

Because of the volume of information submitted, it is suggested announcements of engagements and anniversaries be submitted well in advance of the date desired publication. The deadline for a certain Sunday?s edition is 4 p.m. the Tuesday before.

Please double check material being submitted, as the Times can not be responsible for your errors. The Times reserves the right to edit any submitted material.
