An area of Wheelersburg was without power Friday morning, after a crash took down one utility pole and damaged others. The crash occurred shortly after 7 a.m. on Center Street in Wheelersburg.

The freedom of an inmate at the Star Community Justice Center in Franklin Furnace was short-lived. Deputies were dispatched to the facility in reference to an escape around 6:36 p.m. Thursday.
