Kristin Smith, the reigning Miss Dayton USA was crowned Saturday night, Miss Ohio USA 2013, while Brittany Reid, Miss Central Ohio, captured the title Miss Ohio Teen USA 2013, on the stage at the Vern Riffe Center for the Arts on the campus of Shawnee State University in Portsmouth.

Finishing in the top five among contestants for Miss Ohio USA were, first runner up was Miss Heart of Ohio, Megan Wise; second runner up was Miss Northern Ohio, Ayla Eley; third runner up was Miss Columbus, Madison Gesiotto, and the fourth runner up was Miss Northeastern Ohio, Becky Minger.

Rounding out the top five among contestants for Miss Ohio Teen USA were, first runner up Miss Hudson Teen, Sarah Monaco; second runner, Miss Southern Ohio Teen, Cecili Weber; third runner up was Miss Heart of Ohio Teen, Ivy Hankins and the fourth runner up was Miss Northern Ohio Teen, Hazel Pray.

Smith was crowned by the 2012 winner, Miss Ohio USA 2012, Audrey Bolte, while Brittany Reid received her crown from Miss Ohio USA Teen 2012 Kendall Fein.

Smith receives a $45,600 college scholarship to Lindenwood University, and $1,000 as well as a partial tuition scholarship from the New York Film Academy. She will be an ambassador for the Pink Ribbon Girls; representation by Proctor Productions; modeling representation by NEW VIEW Midwest Model Management Group and will appear on the cover and receive an editorial article with CMagazine.

The winners will now move to compete in the Miss USA and Miss USA Teen contest which will be held in June of 2013 on NBC, and the winner will represent the United States in the Miss Universe 2013 contest.

Three local young women participated in the event. Morgan Lackey, Miss West Portsmouth USA, Madison Whitley, Miss Clay High Teen USA and Molly Crandall, Miss Valley High Teen USA. Others from the region included Julianna Logan, Miss Ohio River Teen USA and Haley Edwards, Miss Ironton USA.
