The Bikers For Christ will rev up their engines on Sunday to host a special Benefit Ride at Tracy Park for 21-month old Jenna Eichenlaub.

Eichenlaub is the daughter of Jim and Jamie Eichenlaub, and she was recently diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy II. The benefit on Sunday will help Jenna’s parents purchase special equipment that is needed for her present care and future needs. Registration for the Benefit Ride will begin at 11 a.m, and the cost is $10 for a single rider, and $15 for double riders. The Ride will begin at 2 p.m.

The Bikers for Christ have designed a scenic route that will last approximately one hour.

Jamie Burroughs, an RN and co-worker of Jenna’s mother, is one of the event coordinators. She said that the Benefit Ride is a continued effort for “Hope for Jenna”campaign.

“It all started by me asking Jamie, Jenna’s mom, if I could do some fundraising to help. We have already helped with her motorized will chair. But when we looked at the future as far as equipment, and different types of therapy that would be beneficial to her, we wanted to do more. All of the money raised from this fundraiser will go into the ‘Hope for Jenna’ fund’,” Burroughs said.

Burroughs said that the event is designed to be more than a Benefit Ride, but will be fun for the whole family.

“There will be inflatables for the kids, a dunk tank, people will get the opportunity to dunk a nurse for a good cause. The food will include hot dogs, barbecue, cotton candy, chips, and snow cones. We will also have live band that will perform, beginning at 1:30 p.m. The raffle will include prizes such as flat screen television, a $500 grill, and an iPad. We are looking forward to a really big day, and will have at least 60 volunteers in place,” Burroughs said.
