Sheriff: Woman bites elderly victim and steals medication

PDT Staff Writer

A woman has been charged with subduing an elderly woman in her own home, and subsequently biting her hand to get her pills.

The Scioto County Sheriff’s Office reports that Lene Nadine Hall, 33, of 1819 1/2 Green St. in Wheelersburg, has been charged with aggravated burglary after deputies found her hiding in the attic of her home. Sheriff’s Deputy Jonathon Page responded to a Wheelersburg residence Monday where he found an elderly woman extremely upset over an incident that had occurred minutes before.

According to the woman, she had just returned home with a prescription she had filled at an area pharmacy when another woman walked into her house. She confronted the woman, who claimed to have been at her home before, and then attempted to grab her pill bottle. The sheriff’s report said the intruder kept hitting the elderly woman to get her pill bottle, and when she wouldn’t relent, finally bit the elderly woman’s hand to get her pills.

The victim told Page and Capt. David Hall the intruder poured the pills into her hand and fled the scene, and that her daughter knew a woman fitting the description.

The officers went to 1819 1/2 Green St., where a man told them he was alone. However when deputies told the man he could be charged with obstruction of justice, he yelled into the next room for Lene Nadine Hall. Deputies found her in the attic, where she said she hid because she thought they might have a warrant for her arrest.

Hall was eventually taken to the elderly woman’s residence, where the woman reportedly identified Hall as her assailant. She was arrested and charged with aggravated burglary.
