Rosie Sherman, 76

Rosie Marie Sherman, 76, of Minford, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, at SOMC Hospice.

She was born Sept. 10, 1936, in Dayton, Ohio, a daughter of the late Walter and Emma Daurghty Wymer.

Rosie was a homemaker, attended the former Blue Run United Methodist Church and was a 1955 Wheelersburg High School graduate.

She is survived by three sons, Perry (Judy) Sherman of Lucasville, Gary (Beverly) Sherman of Minford, and Darrell “Brian” (Susan) Sherman of Sciotoville; nine grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; two sisters, Frances Madden of Wheelersburg and Cletta Moad of Sparks, Nev.; one half sister, Bonnie Moore of Wheelersburg; two step-brothers, Larry Geiger of Dayton and Kenneth Stevens of Indianapolis, Ind.; and three step-sisters Rena Morgan of Arcanum, Ohio, Joy Fulk of Wheelersburg, and Mame Seth of Ironton.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Darrell Sherman, Aug. 8, 1986; and her step-mother, Eleanora Wymer.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville with Rev. Tom Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Monday and one hour before the funeral Tuesday.
