Esther Marie Pilch 88

Esther Marie Pilch, 88, of Wheelersburg died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, at Best Care Nursing Home. She was born Aug. 12, 1924, in Scioto County, Ohio to the late Charles Henry Cook and Emma Pauline Rase Cook. She was a former fancy stitcher for Williams Shoe Factory and a member of Saint John’s Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Watson Salyer and Wilford Pilch. She is survived by a sister, Evelyn Bradley and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer Cook and Henry Cook and four sisters, Minnie Cook, Freda Mullins, Irene Groh and Bertha Oakes.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Saint John’s Luthern Church with Reverend Carl Beck officiating. Burial will be in Saint John’s Cemetery. Friends may call the the Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home Sunday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and at noon, one hour before the service on Monday.
