Carl Carr, 92
Carl Francis Carr, 92, of Portsmouth, passed away Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, at Southern Ohio Medical Center. He was born Jan. 28, 1920, in Portsmouth; a son of the late Frederick and Vella Newkirk Carr.
Carl was a Protestant. He had worked at the former Herm’s Floral Company and he was an avid gardener.
Surviving are a niece, Helen Knauff of McDermott; a nephew, Michael R. Jordan of Lexington, Ky.; his caregiver, Amanda Holsinger; and special friends, Vickie Ailstock, Ron & Linda Howell, Erica Kegley and Louise Ashenbaugh.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy and Edward Carr; and a sister, Thelma Quinton.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the RALPH F. SCOTT FUNERAL HOME in Portsmouth with Pastor Chuck Holsinger officiating and interment in Memorial Burial Park.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10 until the funeral hour.
