Brenda Howland, 66

Brenda Kay Howland, 66 of South Shore, Ky. died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. She was born Aug. 16, 1946, in Portsmouth, Ohio a daughter of the late James Harold Boggs and Ethel Keen Boggs.

She was a former employee of Lynn Elementary, a homemaker, 4-H volunteer, President of the Lynn Homemakers Club, Chairman of the women’s board of Greenup County Farm Bureau and a member of Liberty United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen Howland, one son, Stephen Douglas Howland of Nicholasville, Ky., one daughter, Heather (Travis) Pierce of South Shore one grandaughter Sarah Jo Pierce and one sister, Marsha Cooper of Reddick, Fla.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at Morton Funeral Home in South Shore, Ky. with Jim Montgomery officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery, St. Rt. 7 South Shore, Ky. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
