Sorry about the delay there. I lost internet for a bit.

We're up and running again thanks to the Great American Ballpark staff.

Since the last blog the Reds got a pair of home runs from Joey Votto and Scott Rolen to cut the Cardinals' lead to 3-2. We're in the top of the fifth now and Aaron Harang has just hit his second batter of the game.

The Cardinals have runners at the corners now with two outs.

Even though the Reds are down at the moment I still find myself a little jealous of the 45,000 fans in attendance.

This is my third time at Opening Day, the highest of holy holidays in my native Cincinnati. All three times I have been I sat in this press box which is awesome but I always wanted to go as a fan.

I see all those people drinking an ice cold coke or ice cold beer, munching on cracker jacks and peanuts, all of them cheering wildly for every fly ball — it's hard not to want to be out there.

No one on earth oughtta feel bad for me though. I'm at work right now and that means sitting in the GABP press box, eating free lunch and watching a ball game.

Oh, while I was on that tangent the Cardinals scored again on an error by Harang.

Back to work.

4-2 Cards heading to the bottom of the fifth.
