He was born May 6, 1923, in Scioto County, a son of the late Lewis and Rosella Spriggs Wyant. He was a member of 7th Street Christian Baptist Church, where he was a trustee and bus driver, and was retired from Kentucky Electric Supply.
He is survived by a son, Douglas (Ruth) Wyant; two daughters, Wilma (Larry) George and Margaret (Doug) Krawczyk; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Sloas Wyant; a daughter, Willa Dean Blank; five brothers, Homer, Jim, Phillip, Harry and Frank Wyant; and two sisters, Net Shumway and Deliale McClintic.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston, with Pastor Mike Bender officiating. Burial will be at Old Wheelersburg Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday 10 to 11 a.m. at D.W. Swick in New Boston.
