William Albert Lozier, 78, of South Shore, Ky., went to be with his lord, Sunday, May 13, 2012, in Community Hospice Care Center in, Ashland, Ky. He was born at Walsh, Ky., May 3, 1934, a son of the late John Lozier and Mary Jackson Lozier.
He was retired from the former Empire Detroit Steel Mill in New Boston, Ohio, also retired from the Greenup Co. School System as a bus driver. He was a member of the Harrison Fullerton Masonic Lodge #937 of South Shore, Ky., member of the Bennett’s Chapel United Methodist Church and a member of the Steel Workers Union.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy Mae Lozier of South Shore, Ky.; one daughter, Janice Lozier of South Shore, Ky.; two sons, James Ray Lozier of Akron, Ohio, William Albert Lozier Jr. of Huntsville, Ala.; four brothers, Wayne Lozier of Leesburg, Fla., Linn Lozier of New Cumberland, W. Va., Don Lozier of Woods and Lakes, Fla., and James W. Lozier of Pinkerton, Ohio; three grandchildren, Rachael Mae Lozier, Theodore James Lozier and Kiersten Omalise Lozier.
Funeral services 11 a.m. Thursday, May 17, 2012, at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Ky., with Rev. Dale Collinsworth, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, South Shore, Ky.
Friends may call at the Roberson Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour on Thursday.
