Vera Darline Warren, 99, of Canal Winchester, died Monday, May 14, 2012, at Emeritus at Lakeview. She was born May 1, 1913, in Scioto County to the late Robert & Ella (Poole) Warren. Vera was a longtime member of the Canal Winchester Senior Center and enjoyed gardening, sewing, and all of her pretty things. Preceded in death by sisters, Aletha Workman, Fayita Shoemaker, Cariel Howerton, Rita King; brothers, Curtis Warren and Lewis Warren. She is survived by her children, Lea (John) Myles, Gene Pegg, Delena Doan, David (Pamela) Pigg, and Robert (Donna) Warren; grandchildren, Randy McCrea, Sandi Farrow, Bill Pegg, Kathy Pegg, Greg Pegg, Vicki (Pat) Hopkins, Linda McGuffin, Brian Pigg, Julie (John) Pollard, Darin Pigg, Jason Pigg, Amanda (Roy) Warren-Seeger, Robin (Zach) Bradley, and Shawn Warren; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Friends may visit Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, Ohio, where funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday with Pastor Linda Wallick officiating. Interment in Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
