Operations for an emergency slip repair project continue on U.S. 52. The eastbound lane is reduced to one lane at the 12.0-mile marker, about two miles east of the village of Coal Grove and the Ashland, Ky. Bridge. One lane of traffic is being maintained in the eastbound direction, and the westbound lanes should not be affected by the project. The scheduled completion date is Dec. 31.

In conjunction with the Chesapeake Bypass-Phase 1B project, contractors are conducting drainage and embankment work within the project zone. Although construction to relocate Ohio 7 is being conducted off the existing highway, motorists may encounter some impact to traffic where crews are entering and exiting the construction site.

Scioto County:

The U.S. Grant Bridge, U.S. 23 from Portsmouth to South Shore, Kentucky, is closed for the bridge replacement project. Throughout the closure, traffic is being detoured via U.S. 52 and the Carl Perkins Bridge, Ohio 852, west of Portsmouth.
