The Scioto County Sheriff’s Office released details Monday from a hit-and-run accident that happened in Wheelersburg Friday evening, running down three children.
According to the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office, witnesses told deputies and detectives that a group of juveniles were walking up the sidewalk on Center Street, in Wheelersburg, at about 8:42 p.m. Friday toward Dogwood Ridge Road. They reported seeing a green vehicle swerve off the road and hit three of the juveniles from behind, and said the vehicle stopped only briefly before it drove away, toward Dogwood Ridge Road.
Porter Squad transported two of the victims to Southern Ohio Medical Center, in Portsmouth — one of them was later flown to Children’s Hospital, in Columbus. The third victim was taken to SOMC by a parent.
Officers located the vehicle Saturday parked at a home in Sciotodale, and the driver has admitted involvement in the case. The vehicle was impounded and charges will be filed against the driver. The sheriff’s office would not release the name of the driver, or details about the charges that will be filed against him.
The names of the three victims also was not released because they are underage, but the sheriff’s department said all three were in stable condition Monday morning.
Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact Det. Denver Triggs at the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office, at (740) 355-8245. All calls will remain anonymous.

I don't care if there was a sidewalk or not, nor do I care how many people were in his car or what time of day it was or whatever conspiracy excuse someone wants to think up, the facts are indisputable.
His car came in contact with children and he did not stay at the scene with them. Instead, he took off like a coward, or better yet, "a sorry excuse for a human."
Where to begin..... my heart goes out to the children that are in pain!
1. Once again Portsmouth Daily Times has the facts wrong, driver turned himself in, the facts need to be straight because the truth in what happened was bad enough in itself!!!!
2. Two kids were hit then later on one was taken by parents hmmm sounds fishy ...I believe there were only 2 kids.
3. If any one was educated on the scene there was no sidewalk at the scene!!!hmm now think about this....Not to mention he had his 4 children with him at dark...think about the maybes like maybe it was an accident- no one is gonna run kids down to purposely hit them..maybe they were goin accross the road as some eyewhitnesses say they were! And lastly I strongly suggest that if you dont know him or the whole story then you have absolutely no right to call him a sorry excuse for a human or anything for that matter! There are always two sides or maybe million sides to the truth considering its portsmouth we are talking about. You cannot judge by the deranged facts inthe paper.

@ cbolda ...
As it says in the story, the Sheriff's Office did not release this information until Monday. On Tuesday they also released the driver's name and photo, and it will be in Weds. paper.
Finally something in the paper about this...what it only took like 3 days, when there should have been something about this in the news the day after it happened..yeah top news reporters in Portsmouth..at least the children are alright. We went to the hospital that night and it was amazing how many people showed up to show love and support to the children who were hurt. The name of the stupid S.O.B should be released that way everyone knows who ran down 3 children and then left them there without even checking on them. What a sorry excuse for a human.
