Sandy L. Shoemaker, 60

Sandy L. Shoemaker, 60, of Hackworth Hill Rd., Otway, Ohio died Thursday Oct. 11, 2012 at the Southern Ohio Medical Center, Portsmouth, Ohio. She was born on March 11, 1952 in Ironton, Ohio to the late Henry and Gladys Marie Algeo Dickess.

She was united in marriage on April 15, 1972 to Kenny E. Shoemaker who survives. Also surviving are three daughters: Angela Griffith and husband Bobby of Otway, Andrea Carver and husband Harry of Peebles, and Amandy Taylor and husband Mark of Otway. Ten grandchildren: Brittany and Kayla Griffith, Meranda, Charlie, and Hannah Gilley, Derk and Chris Carver, Dalton and Dustin Taylor, and Ryan Wayne Carver. Two brothers: William Dickess of Florida, and James Dickess of Otway. One sister, Joann Shrout of Leesburg, Ohio. She was preceded in death by four brothers: Morris Gene, Carl Chester, George Henry, and Roger Dale Dickess, and three sisters: Pamela Sue , Margaret Louise, and Laura Mae Dickess.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Botkin Funeral Home in Otway with Pastor Ricky Ross officiating. Burial will follow in the Hackworth Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Botkin Funeral Home.
