Ruth Robinson, 86

Ruth Robinson, 86, of South Shore, Ky., went to be with the Lord Feb. 22, 2013, in Southern Ohio Medical Center Hospice. She was born in Pike County, Ky., Feb. 8, 1927; a daughter of the late Shannon and Cora Darnell Cantrell. She was a member of the South Shore Church of God and a member of the South Shore Senior Citizens.

Preceded in death by her husband, Raymond R. Robinson, May 17, 1983, two sisters and four brothers. She was a loving mother and a homemaker.

Surviving are six sons, Johnny “Iona” Robinson, Chester “Marylee” Robinson, Mike “Reba” Robinson, Larry “Roxana” Robinson all of South Shore, Ky., Milton “Debbie” Robinson of Fort Wayne, Ind., Boyd “Patty” Robinson of South Portsmouth, Ky., seven daughters, Mary “Bill” Goddard, of New Boston, Erelene Estes of Portsmouth, Darlene “Bruce” Canter of Portsmouth, Dotty “Charles” Wilburn of Flatwoods, Ky., Diana “Milton” Hamilton of South Shore, Ky., Charlotte “Edward” Reale of South Portsmouth, Ky., Shelia “Eugene” Cooper of South Shore, Ky., 34 grandchildren, 65 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, one brother, Oval Cantrell of West Branch, Mich.

Funeral services 1 p.m.. Tuesday at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Ky. with Elder William Riggs, officiating. Burial in Siloam Cemetery, South Shore, Ky. Friends may call at the Roberson Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday and from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Tuesday.
