She was born October 21, 1917 in Wakefield, daughter of the late Jobe Benton Pyle and Flossie Vernell (Smith) Pyle. On November 22, 1933, Ruby was united in marriage to Harry Foster Brown who preceded her in death on October 19, 1971.
Surviving are two sons, Charles R. Brown of Waverly, Roger Benton Brown and wife Cheryl of Piketon; two daughters, Lorena West and husband Ralph of Chillicothe, Marilyn Sue Remy and John Huff of Beaver; daughter-in-law Donna Brown of Waverly; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Robyn (Jeff) Hambrick and their son Clayton, April (Jeff) Hartman and sons, Brad, Brandon, Blake and Dustin, Janaan Newman and daughter Deanna, Rodney Brown and children Cailyn, Andrew, Samantha and Michael, Sandra (Bill) Gordon and sons Ryan and Jason, John (Heidi) West, Rebecca (Matt) Petty and sons, Benjamin and Samuel, Angie (Jason) Taylor and children Jake, Ali, and Ben, Randy Brown and fiancee Katy, Mike (Barb) Brown and children Paul Michael and Amber, Steve Brown and son Matt, and Sharon Hoskins and children, Justin and Brooke; a niece, Ruthie Reedy and nephew, James Earl Pyle Jr.
In addition to her parents and husband, one son, Paul E. Brown, one brother, James Earl Pyle, two sisters, Margaret Delay and Estella Houser and a grandson, Jeff Brown preceded Ruby in death.
Ruby was a homemaker and attended Stockdale United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2011 at the Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly with Rev. Major Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in Beaver Union Cemetery, Beaver, Ohio.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. Saturday and from noon until the time of service on Sunday.
