Ron is survived by his wife, Opal Warren Spears; a daughter, Kelly Mikhail and husband Adel Mikhail of Columbus; a grandson, Eon Kane Spears of Wheelersburg; five granddaughters, Madison, Alexandria, Salem and Sheridan Mikhail of Columbus and Nicole DuBois of Wheelersburg; three brothers, Thomas (Suzi) Spears of New Boston, Jack Spears of Sciotoville and Jerry (Pam) Spears of Lucasville; brothers by choice, Chris (Manya) Frowine, Billy (Pam) Frowine and his special brothers in Christ, Ralph Clay, Jim Large and the Men’s Accountability Group. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
He was a loving, fun-loving man who enjoyed his political banters, war movies and especially his grandchildren, along with his furry four-legged companions. He was also preceded in death by a son, Ronald (Lee) Spears and two brothers, Gary Spears and Mike Spears. Memorial services will be 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, 2009, at Christ Community Church with Pastor Ralph Clay officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 p.m. Friday at the church. In leiu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ Community Church or the Simon Kenton Council, Boy Scouts of America in Portsmouth. Services have been entrusted to the D.W.
