Richard Dale Riley, 61, of Franklin Furnace, died Saturday, May 28, 2011 at his residence.

Born March 23, 1950 in Franklin Furnace, he was the son of the late John Riley and Violet Rice Fetty, he was a mechanic at Cogan’s Garage, was a member of Portsmouth Eagles, American Quarter Horse Association and Knight Riders and a Harley Davidson Motorcycle Enthusiast. He attended Highland Bend Pentecostal.

He is survived by one daughter, Megan Nicole Riley; his maw, Betty Riley; eight brothers, Gerald Riley, Rodney Holsinger, Clifford Riley, Joe Riley, Rick Riley, Ora Fetty, Charles Fetty Jr., John David Riley, and seven sisters, Barbara Delong, Sharon Pace, Linda Montgomery, Johnna Stapleton, Gloria Fetty, Sandy Crawford and Teresa Fetty. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bruce Riley and Paul Kelly.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Keith Webb officiating. Burial will be at Junior Furnace Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
