Ralph Seevers, 87
Ralph Clinton Seevers, 87, of Wheelersburg, died Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, at Best Care Nursing Home in Wheelersburg. He was born Oct. 1, 1924, in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Ralph Harrison Seevers and Sarah Hickman Seevers. He was an US Army WWII Veteran, a retired switch room supervisor for GTE and a member of Union Freewill Baptist Church. He was also a member of the VFW, James Dickey American Legion Post 23 and also served on their funeral detail for many years, and was a member of Lucasville Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Margie Ann Wells Seevers whom he married March 6, 1948, in Russell, Ky.
He is survived by two daughters, Kathy Carter and Sue (Randy) Williams, one brother, Robert E. Seevers, five grandchildren, Dean Miller, Sara (Derrick) Hurst, Drew Williams, Justin (Chanda) Williams and Cody Carter and three great grandchildren, Logan Hurst, Shelby Hurst and Wesley Williams.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Pastor Chris Oiler and Pastor John King officiating. Burial Will be in Memorial Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and one hour before the service on Friday. There will be military Graveside services conducted by James Dickey American Legion.
