The Post 23 senior legion team swept host Chillicothe Post 62 Sunday and have won seven-straight games after snapping a seven-game losing streak last Tuesday.

Both Derek Moore and Wade Martin each went the distance in the two games to each earn their third win of the season. Moore struck out nine and walked two while Martin fanned four and allowed one free pass.

In the opener, Post 23 used a three-run second inning to post a 5-1 win. Tate Bailey and Austin Boyer each collected two hits in the contest.

The Riverbats tried to mount a rally after trailing 6-0 entering the fourth but Post 23 prevented the tying run from scoring in the bottom of the seventh to squeek out a 6-5 decision. Tyler Noel recorded two hits in the contest.

Post 23 will try to extend its season-long winning streak to eight today with a one-inning contest against Waverly Post 142. The 6 p.m. contest will be played at Piketon High School.
