The Pike Sanitation Transfer Station at 620 Elm Street will be closed until further notice. As a result, residential pickup in the city of Portsmouth will be late because the trucks will have to travel to the Piketon dump. Alternate landfills are Ike Sanitation in Piketon and Rumpke Waste Inc. in Haverhill.
