A man wanted on an attempted murder charge and a laundry list of other charges has been arrested in Arizona.

Coolidge, Ariz., authorities are holding Curtis Adrian Jordan, 30, whose last known address was in Rosemount, had been wanted in connection with the wounding of Cody Stevens, 21, of 2001 Grant St. in Portsmouth on Jan. 10 of this year.

“Essentially, he knocked on the (Stevens) door, and he (Stevens) recognized him as Curtis Jordan and let him in,” Portsmouth Police Cpt. Robert Ware told the Times. “He (Jordan) pulled a gun on him, robbed him of his wallet, and then shot him.”

According to Portsmouth Police Detective Sgt. Jim Charles, Jordan reportedly shot Stevens in the head.

Jordan is being held on warrants charging attempted aggravated murder, felonious assault, aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary, having weapons while under disability, and being an habitual violent offender.

“The state of Ohio also has a warrant on him for a parole violation,” Charles told the Portsmouth Daily Times. “We don’t know when the extradition hearing will be held, but we believe state authorities will travel to Arizona to pick him up.”

Two weeks earlier, Jordan’s grandfather, Fredrick Rowles, 57, of Rosemount, a local businessman, was murdered in his office on a Sunday morning. That murder has never been solved.
