According to Portsmouth Police Detective Sgt. James Charles, the suspect in the shooting is Sareth Phok, 18, of Portsmouth.

Witnesses say Cruz was shot Monday afternoon, allegedly during a verbal dispute with Phok on the 1200 block of Linden Avenue, just off U.S. 52.
