“All three of the projects have a target completion date of Oct. 3,” said Kathleen Fuller, ODOT District 9 public information officer.
Fuller said there were three projects working to pave portions of 52. She said the first two project were awarded to The Shelly Company for $8.4 million.
The third project called for resurfacing of about 13.5 miles of road between Portsmouth and the Lawrence County line. The Shelly Company was awarded that contract for $5.1 million.
“The project in New Boston and Wheelersburg are close to being wrapped up. There is some finishing work that needs to be completed. There may be lane restrictions in place while this work is going on,” Fuller said.
She said some of the finishing work that needs to be completed includes installation of raised pavement markers, installation of rumble strips and various other work.
“Over the next couple of weeks there will be some intermittent lane restrictions. That will depend on when the contractors decide to do certain work and what time,” Fuller said.
Fuller said the project between the Portsmouth corporation limit to the Lawrence County line still has a good bit of work to be done.
“There is still a good bit of surface work that has to be done for that project. After the surface work in complete contractors will have to do the striping, install rumble strips and other various work to complete the project,” Fuller said. “All three of the projects have an end of October completion date and this one will be pushing it.”
She said the weather could cause of delays.
