Passenger dies in single-vehicle crash

A single-vehicle crash has resulted in the death of the passenger in that vehicle. Dead is Marilyn Ruley, 64, of Wheelersburg.

The vehicle, operated by Charles Ruley, 66, of Wheelersburg , was eastbound on Lucasville-Minford Road at the intersection with Cook Road Sunday at around 4:28 p.m., when it slid off the right side of the roadway, striking a ditch, overturning onto the left side of the vehicle.

Marilyn Ruley was air-lifted to Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia, where she was pronounced dead at around 8:30 p.m.

Charles Ruley was transported to Southern Ohio Medical Center and treated for his injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
