Just finished reading the delightful article about the teacher reunion at the now closed North Moreland Elementary School. I was priviliged to begin my teaching career in that school in 1956 as a student teacher, assigned there by Ohio University. I remember many of the names in the article, particularly Mrs. Newberry (Curtin) Frowine. She along with Mr. Hale the principal, and other staff members helped me begin a career which spanned fifty years as an educator. I am a former citizen of New Boston, Ohio, and a proud graduate of Glenwood High School in the graduating class of 1948. Mr. Lewis, I can fully attest to the sincerity of the comments made by some former students. This was not just a school, it was a family of caring people in a caring community. Thank you for this splendid article.
